Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – API Automation – Mobile Testing

Core Requirements

  • BSc. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • 04+ years of work experience in the industry in Quality Engineering.
  • 01+ year of experience in API test automation with any recognized framework/tool.
  • Very good understanding and experience of at least one OOP language (Java, C#, Python, etc.)
  • Very good understanding of the integration testing with RESTful APIs and SOAP knowledge is nice to have.
  • Experience in mobile testing (Android and iOS) will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in test estimations, planning, and building quality reporting.
  • Experience in software quality assurance and associated best practices including agile/Scrum.
  • Experience in CI/CD and continuous testing with Jenkins integration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Willingness to take the initiative and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Proactive engagement with the existing quality team and improving the overall quality process.
  • Create and maintain manual test cases across the solution.
  • Identify the integration points from mobile to the core backend and design API test cases accordingly.
  • Refactor the existing test automation suite with industry best practices.
  • Identify and automate new tests by improving the ROI of test automation to increase testing productivity and efficiency.
  • Report and analyze automation test execution results.
  • Executing tests on Web/Mobile applications and identifying and reporting defects.
  • Maintain build quality and report the same to the team and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and milestones.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding statuses, risks, issues, and test progress.
  • Ability to keep strong client relationships with proactive initiatives and follow-ups with a positive/can-do attitude.
