Associate Lead QA Engineers/ Lead QA Engineers
Requirements
- B.Sc. Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification related to the field
- Minimum 4 years of post-graduate experience in the industry
- At least 1 year of experience in playing a lead role and having experience in handling multiple projects / clients in diversified technology spectrums
- Minimum 2 years hands on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, QTP, cucumber. (Added advantage)
- Minimum 2 years hands on experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Ruby. (Added advantage)
- Proven strong knowledge about object oriented concepts, SQL and web services with tools such as SoapUI/ RestAssured (Added advantage)
- Proven track records in recommending, designing and developing testing strategies and approaches for multi-platform, devices and diverse business domains
- Exposure in supporting project test approach by conducting automation or performance testing
- Exposure to agile software development methodologies and best practices in agile based testing
- Hands on experience in authoring and compiling metrics to measure test progress and quality outcomes
- Exposure in mentoring and training Junior QA engineers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving, attention to detail and initiative skills
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities
- ISTQB Foundation Certified or equivalent certification
Responsibilities
- Define testing strategies and approaches ensuring overall quality and productivity for testing for multi-platform, device and diverse business domains
- Perform, monitor and control progress in different types of testing (including functional, non-functional) at different levels (including component/unit, integration, system and user acceptance)
- Ability to support project test approach by performing automation testing through creating / executing scripts
- Ability to review QA artifacts such as test cases, test scenarios and QA plans to verify standards
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate in a timely manner with the team, management, internal and external customers regarding statuses, risks, issues and progress of testing efforts
- Ability to build, deploy and configure required testing environments and work with various source control, continuous integration and build tools
- Being a mentor and guiding juniors for successful project deliveries
- Support knowledge generation process by contributing to QA artifacts
- Render and actively contribute to companywide knowledge sharing sessions on emerging QA/testing practices and trends
- Ability to take responsibility in conducting technical evaluations for new recruits
- Ability to assist in inductions and on-boarding trainings for new recruits and role transfers
- Collaborate with engineering, PMO, UI/UX and business analysis/consulting teams to review project schedules, requirements, designs, architectures and guides/specifications to ensure achieving of quality and testability
- Ability to support organization wide pre-sales activities by engaging in presentations, demo’s, business meetings, exhibitions, conventions, QA/test estimations and resource plans
