Account Manager

We are searching for a dynamic and experienced Account Manager who can recognize sales opportunities and turn new leads to long-lasting partnerships and prosper existing client relationships. You’ll be directly responsible for the retention and expansion of our customer base in Sri Lanka and the APAC region while supporting and collaborating with our global account management team.

In this role, you are responsible for handling the most important client accounts in the company and must build and maintain a strong relationship with the client by adopting a consultative approach. You will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the client are met, and help the client succeed. You will also bring in new business from existing clients and develop new relationships with potential clients. The ideal candidate will be organized, passionate about client relations and experienced in sales & customer service, and have good communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact for the clients while developing a long term trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Develop initiatives to increase customer satisfaction and retention
  • Create win-win contracts by closely working with the sales, solutioning, contract teams and do the necessary negotiations to establish a timeline of performance
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Unearth new sales opportunities/leads through contacting prospective clients or via campaigns and turn them into long-term partnerships
  • Own and drive key strategic account plans by connecting relevant internal teams
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly account initiatives, goals and achievements to internal and external stakeholders while forecasting and tracking key account metrics
  • Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis and liaise between the client and internal teams and resolve conflicts and issues proactively
  • Strategize cross-sell and up-sell opportunities by maximizing profit and value to the client
  • Whenever necessary, be the deal owner/lead to drive key deals
  • Responsible for working with the Sales team to onboard and integrate new clients
  • Responsible to maintain a healthy and smooth invoicing and account receivable
  • Build exceptional account management team by hiring, grooming and mentoring account executives/associate account managers
  • Present products & services to prospective clients

Qualifications/Skills

  • Proven experience as an account manager, or similar business development/sales/customer service role
  • Knowledge of market research, sales, and negotiating principles
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships and networking
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently and effectively to meet required deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, passionate and has the drive
  • Working knowledge of IT Industry is an added advantage
  • Ability to mentor and guide a small to medium team
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply that knowledge
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • BSc or BA in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing
